[ SEC.00 / SITE · CONTRACTOR WEB DESIGN ]

Web design for contractors in Tampa Bay.

WHAT I'D BUILD, WHAT IT COSTS, AND WHEN I'D TELL YOU NOT TO HIRE ME.

DMDS builds websites and job-tracking software for the trades: marine, tree, HVAC, and the crews that keep this coastline standing. If your phone should ring more than it does, or rings with the wrong jobs, keep reading. The whole pitch is on this page, price included.

[ SEC.01 / DIAGNOSIS ]

Which one is you?

Four different leaks, four different fixes. The diagnosis comes before the recommendation.

D-01 / DEMAND

The phone stops.

Referrals are the best work, right up until the month they dry up. A slow week isn't zero revenue, it's crew sitting while payroll goes out the door.

THIS ONE'S ME ↘
D-02 / SELECTION

Wrong jobs call.

Price shoppers, tiny jobs, work you take because the phone rang. Volume was never the problem. Selection is.

THIS ONE'S ME ↘
D-03 / RESPONSE

Calls get missed.

You're under a house or up a tree, and the homeowner who called went down the list to the next name. Demand isn't your leak. Response is. That's a different build, and I do that one too: tell me and I'll say so.

THIS ONE'S ME ↘
D-04 / DECAY

The site's been "on the list" for two years.

A guy did it, or a nephew, and nobody's touched it since. When somebody searches your trade and your town at 9pm, it's not competing.

THIS ONE'S ME ↘

None of these you? Booked out, margins good, referrals compounding? Skip to who this is not for. I'll save you the scroll.

[ SEC.02 / THE MATH ]

Run your own numbers.

Most big tree removals around Tampa Bay run somewhere in the low thousands. Seawall and marine jobs, tens of thousands. You know your ticket; I don't. Run it yourself, and use profit, not the gross, for the honest number:

GAP ARITHMETIC
JOBS YOU COULD TAKE BUT AREN'T GETTINGPER MONTH
×
YOUR PROFIT PER JOBNOT THE GROSS. YOU KNOW IT.
=
THE MONTHLY GAPYOURS TO FILL IN

Say it's two jobs a month you're not getting, at $4,000 of profit a job. That's $96,000 a year of profit going to whoever showed up in the search instead. Your numbers will differ; that's why you run your own. If the answer is a rounding error, you don't need me: see who this is not for. If it's real money, a site built around the exact searches that produce those jobs doesn't have to win many of them to pay for itself many times over. That's the whole pitch. The rest of this page is showing the work.

While you're at it, run the other search too: your trade and your town, right now, the way a homeowner would. Where do you show up? That answer is half the diagnosis.

[ SEC.03 / PRESCRIPTION ]

What I'd actually build.

RX-01 → D-01

For "the phone stops"

A page for each service you want more of, in each town you work: seawall repair in Palm Harbor, dock rebuilds in Clearwater. The homeowner searching at 9pm lands on a page about exactly that job, with photos of your work and a number to tap. The site alone doesn't make Google rank you; the timeline below says what moves fast and what takes months.

RX-02 → D-02

For "wrong jobs call"

The jobs that pay get the pages, the photos, and the front position; the work you're done with gets a line saying you don't do it. Show up for what pays, and the junk calls filter themselves out.

RX-03 → D-03

For "calls get missed"

I'd tell you plainly: more traffic into a leaking bucket is absurd. Fix how calls get handled first: every call gets a text back within a minute, every missed call gets logged and chased instead of lost. I build those response systems too. Then we talk about more demand.

RX-04 → D-04

For "the two-year to-do item"

You touch nothing. I build it, maintain it, and send a short monthly summary of what came through the site. Your job is to answer the phone.

I report actual calls and leads that came through the site, not traffic charts. The call tracking that proves it line by line comes with the GROWTH plan. If it's not producing, you'll know, and so will I.

DENNIS MINK · THE REPORTING PROMISE
[ SEC.04 / PROOF ]

What's proven, and what isn't yet.

Proven: the build quality. Three shipped systems with public engineering receipts: the software an HVAC company's field crews run on, the website and lead system behind an insurance agency, and an open-source AI coding platform. Every number in those write-ups has to pass an automated check before the page can go live, and the receipts are public on the studio page if you want to look.

Not proven yet, and the price says so. What I don't have is five Tampa Bay contractors I can point to and say "I generated this many jobs for them." So the first handful of trades clients are founding engagements: the band on this page is set low on purpose while I build that proof around here. No countdown, no "rates going up soon," no invisible regular price it's discounted from. This is just what the early work costs. And the proof I intend to add right here as it verifies: before-and-after searches, calls, estimate requests, and won jobs.

[ SEC.05 / NOT-FOR ]

Who this is not for.

If you're booked out past the season, your margins are where you want them, and referrals keep compounding, I'll tell you here what I'd tell you on the phone: don't spend money generating demand you can't serve. A website won't make your crew bigger. It also won't fix a reputation problem, answer calls you're not picking up, or choose your profitable services for you; if one of those is the real constraint, I'll say so. Bookmark the page for the year that changes, and take the free advice.

[ BOOKED SOLID? ONE ASK ]

But you probably know somebody around here whose phone stopped ringing. Send them this page. That's worth more to both of us than a sale you didn't need.

[ SEC.06 / PRICE ]

What it costs.

Builds run $3,500 to $8,500 depending on what's actually broken: a clean rebuild sits at the low end; service pages across multiple towns, tracking, and content push it up. You'll know which end you're at before you owe me anything. Weigh the number against the gap you ran above, not against the cheapest quote in your inbox.

[ HOW IT WORKS · THE CLOCK, STATED UP FRONT ]
  1. 01 · WEEK ONE Diagnose + plan

Your site, your searches, your best jobs. You get a fixed scope and price up front, before any money moves.

  2. 02 · ABOUT 30 DAYS Build + launch

I write it and build it; you provide photos, facts, and approvals. Live in about 30 days once I have them, with tracking ready to measure.

  3. 03 · MONTHS Real movement

The listing and the site move fast; competitive searches build over months. The monthly summary shows exactly what's happening either way.

[ SEC.07 / OBJECTIONS ]

Asked and answered.

"I paid an SEO company before and got nothing."

Fair enough: this trade is full of retainer-and-vanish. The difference you can hold me to: I report calls and leads that came through the site, on the GROWTH plan, with call tracking that shows it line by line. If the report can't tie the work to the phone ringing, you should fire me too.

"A guy already did my website."

How's it performing? Search your trade and your town right now. Where do you show up? If the answer's "nowhere," the site exists but isn't working. That's the fixable kind of problem.

"What does it cost?"

The build band and both monthly tiers are published right above, along with what moves you inside the band. No email gate, no "request our pricing guide."

"What's the catch with the free diagnosis?"

There isn't one. You tell me what's broken; I look at your site and the searches around your trade; you get what I'd build, what it'd cost, and whether it's worth it. Sometimes the honest answer is "your site is fine" or "don't hire me." I do them because enough turn into work. If yours doesn't, the diagnosis is still yours to keep.

"How fast will Google send me jobs?"

Listing, tracking, and site improvements: weeks. Competitive rankings: months. Anyone who quotes you a date is guessing; what I'll show you instead is the monthly evidence of movement.

"We're too busy already."

Busy this month isn't booked year-round. The site is the backstop for the quiet months. And if you're permanently past capacity, you don't need volume, you need selection: build the site around the work you want and price the rest out. Good techs also check out companies before calling back about a job; a dead site costs you hires, not just leads.

"All my work is referral."

Referrals are the best work. The site's job is the month they dry up. It's also for the homeowner who got your name from a referral, Googled you before calling, and found nothing.

"Who owns it?"

You do. The site, the domain, the content: if we part ways, it all stays yours. No hostage hosting.

"What happens after I say yes?"

One-page agreement same day, deposit to start, I'll need photos, logo, and access. The build is scoped in weeks, not quarters. You get the number before the deposit, and you'll hear from me on a set cadence. You won't have to chase me.
