[ SEC.00 / PROMOTIONAL PRODUCTS · TAMPA BAY ]

Promotional products for Tampa Bay.

YOUR LOGO GOES ON MORE THAN A WEBSITE.

Pens for a customer event. Shirts for the crew. A tumbler people might actually keep. Cards, menus, signs, and the rest of the physical stuff your business puts its name on. DMDS is a promotional products distributor for Tampa Bay businesses: I source it, check the artwork, handle production, and give you one number before anything gets ordered. Sourced, proofed, one price.

[ SEC.01 / DIAGNOSIS ]

Buying branded stuff shouldn't require becoming a printer.

You know what you need. The trouble is everything between that and a box showing up with the right thing in it. Four places it goes sideways:

D-01 / SELECTION

Too many options.

Four hundred pens that look identical in a thumbnail. Twelve ways to put a logo on a shirt. Six paper stocks that all get called premium. You tell me what it's for, who's getting it, when, and roughly what you want to spend. I narrow it to two or three.

THIS ONE'S ME ↘
D-02 / ARTWORK

The logo looks fine until somebody tries to print it.

A screenshot of a logo, a PNG with a white box behind it, type that's readable on a monitor and mud on a pen barrel. I check the file before the order goes anywhere. If it needs real design work, you hear that first, with a price, not after.

THIS ONE'S ME ↘
D-03 / PRICE

The cheap pen got expensive.

Setup charge. Second-color charge. Rush fee. Freight. The lowest unit price on the page is rarely the lowest finished order. I quote the finished order, including the listed production charges and delivery. If the scope changes, you approve the change before the price does.

THIS ONE'S ME ↘
D-04 / DEADLINE

The event is Thursday.

The date doesn't move because a printer ran late. Tell me the date before we talk about the product. If the thing you want can't get here in time, I'll say so and find something that can.

[ SEC.02 / WHAT I SOURCE ]

Put the brand somewhere useful.

These are categories, not a catalog. There are thousands of items behind each one and I'd rather ask what the thing is for than make you scroll through them.

01 / WRITING

Pens.

Everyday click pens, metal pens, stylus pens, gel, markers, and the nicer ones for a desk instead of a fishbowl. Printed or laser engraved.

QUOTE PENS ↘
02 / DRINKWARE

Cups and bottles.

Insulated tumblers, water bottles, mugs, can coolers, and event cups. The category people keep the longest, if the quality's right.

QUOTE DRINKWARE ↘
03 / APPAREL

Shirts and hats.

Tees, polos, hoodies, hats, and hi-vis for crews. Screen print, embroidery, or full-color transfer depending on the art and the count.

QUOTE APPAREL ↘
04 / CARRY

Bags and totes.

Totes, drawstring bags, coolers, and the reusable bag that ends up in somebody's trunk for three years with your name on it.

QUOTE BAGS ↘
05 / EVENTS

Giveaways and displays.

Table handouts, stress balls, keychains, badges, banners, tablecloths, and booth material for the expo, the grand opening, or the sponsor tent.

QUOTE EVENTS ↘
06 / PRINT

Cards, menus, signs.

Business cards, brochures, postcards, menus, door hangers, yard signs, and the other commercial print that has to match the pen and the shirt.

QUOTE PRINT ↘

Don't see it? Ask. If it takes a logo, somebody makes it, and I can usually get it.

[ SEC.03 / HOW IT WORKS ]

Four steps.

01 · YOU

Tell me the job

What it's for, who gets it, how many, when you need it, and roughly what you want to spend. If you've already got a product in mind, send the link. If you haven't, that's fine, that's most people.

02 · ME

I source it

I compare the trade suppliers I buy from, the decoration methods that work for your art, and what shipping does to the price. You get two or three real options with finished numbers, not a catalog link.

03 · YOU

You approve it

Product, color, quantity, imprint, delivery date, and the total. You approve that and pay; then the production proof comes back and you approve that too. Nothing goes to production until the proof is signed off.

04 · ME

It gets made

I handle the supplier, the production file, and the order. You get the finished goods, hand-delivered around Palm Harbor when it makes sense, shipped when it doesn't.

You approve the product, color, quantity, imprint and artwork before production. If a supplier misses the approved spec, I handle the supplier and the correction. You don't chase a factory.

DENNIS MINK · THE PROOF PROMISE
[ SEC.04 / THE QUOTE ]

What it costs.

Promo orders get quoted one at a time, because quantity, imprint method, setup charges, turnaround, and freight all move the finished number. You get one total, delivered, before anything is ordered.

[ THE CLOCK · STATED UP FRONT ]
  1. 01 · A DAY OR TWO Quote

You send the job. I come back with options and finished numbers, usually within a business day, sometimes two if I'm waiting on a supplier.

  2. 02 · SAME WEEK Approve + proof

You pick one and approve the price; payment or deposit happens here. I place the order and send you the production proof.

  3. 03 · ABOUT 2 TO 3 WEEKS Delivered

Most products land in two to three weeks from proof approval. Some are faster, embroidery and specialty items run longer. The date is in the quote.

[ SEC.05 / PROOF ]

What's proven, and what isn't yet.

Proven: the design and the print. The same studio that builds the sites designs the collateral. For Insure With Mink, a Tampa Bay insurance agency, that meant a custom shirt, business cards, flyers, and the wall of their trade-show booth, all from the same brand files as their website. For Hour Time Games it meant the website and the online store. The engineering receipts behind the studio are public on the studio page if you want to look.

Not proven yet: a gallery. There's no photo wall of Tampa Bay logos on pens and shirts here yet, and I won't use stock photos of somebody else's giveaways to fake one. Real work goes up as it gets photographed; until then, the proof promise above is how you're protected.

The method: digital and physical, same source file. Most businesses split this between a web person, a designer, a printer, and whoever somebody's cousin knows for shirts, and the brand slowly drifts. Here the same logo, colors, and production files carry from the site to the card to the pen to the shirt; if I'm only doing the promo, I start from your best master files and keep every version consistent.

01 / ONE SOURCE FILE

The logo stays the logo.

Vector art, brand color specs, and imprint-ready versions kept on file. Reorders and new products start from the same place every time.

02 / ONE CONTACT

You deal with me.

Same as the web and software work. One person who knows your brand, your events, and what you ordered last time.

03 / YOU OWN THE ART

Files are yours.

Any production-ready artwork I create for your business is yours to keep and reuse. If we part ways, it goes with you. No printer hostage situation.

[ SEC.06 / NOT-FOR ]

Who this is not for.

If you already know the exact SKU, the decoration method, the supplier, and the production specs, and the only thing you want is the lowest number on the internet, buy it directly. You don't need a reseller adding a layer. The people this is for care more about getting the right finished product on the right date than about spending an afternoon comparing 137 nearly identical pens. If that's not you, no hard feelings, and the questions below are still free.

[ HANDLE IT YOURSELF? ONE ASK ]

You probably know somebody around here who has an event coming and no idea what to order. Send them this page. That's worth more to both of us than a sale you didn't need.

[ SEC.07 / QUESTIONS ]

Asked and answered.

"Can you put my logo on something I already picked?"

Usually. Send the link or the exact item and how many. I'll tell you if I can source it, or find the closest trade equivalent and show you the difference.

"Do I need vector artwork?"

Not to get a quote. Send the best file you have; I'll tell you whether it's production-ready before anything gets ordered. Checking and setting it up for the imprint is part of the quote. Redrawing a low-res logo or original design is real design work, scoped and priced separately before I do it.

"What's the minimum quantity?"

Depends on the product. Some things work in a run of 25; pens usually start around 100; some items are priced by the case. Tell me the number you actually need and I'll tell you where the price breaks are.

"How long does it take?"

Most orders land in two to three weeks from proof approval; some products are faster, embroidery is slower. Tell me the date first. I'd rather rule an item out than sell you something that shows up after the event.

"Why not just order it online myself?"

You can, and if you know the exact item, imprint method and quantity, you should. What you're paying me for is the part before that: picking the right thing, catching the artwork problem, and reading the fee table so the cheap pen doesn't turn into the expensive order.

"Do you only serve Palm Harbor?"

No. I'm based in Palm Harbor and work with businesses across Tampa Bay. Local orders I'll often hand-deliver; anything else ships wherever it needs to go.

"Who owns the artwork?"

You do. Any production-ready artwork I create for your business is yours to keep and reuse.
